Labor Law Posters - We Can Help!
Laws and regulations regarding required workplace posters can be confusing and they can update often. Each industry, business size, and employee group have different needs and requirements when it comes to posters, which can make keeping track of required updates a headache. Iowa made their last update to posters in 2022, and the last federal update was in June of 2023.
Here are some frequently asked questions about labor law posters, and some ways we can help!
Q: What are labor law posters and who is required to display them?
A: Labor law posters are the mandated state and federal employment law notices that employers with at least one employee or more are required to conspicuously post in an area frequented by all employees. Failure to display the correct state and federal employment law notices can result in penalties, fines, and lawsuits.
Q: Where do I display the labor law posters for employees?
A: Labor law posters should be “conspicuously” displayed in an area that is frequented by all employees on a regular basis. Examples of such locations include: designated bulletin boards in the break room, above time clocks, in the employee lounge, in a cafeteria or a lunch room
Q: Are my labor law posters current? Am I in compliance?
